In 1997, Shogakukan Comics hired Yukako Iisaka to produce a shoujo version of
Go Nagai's Cutey Honey which would be suitable for younger audiences. Cutey Honey F ("F" standing for
Flash) follows the original Cutey Honey series. Honey is not an
android in this series, she is a normal school girl with a magical ability to
transform.
